From childhood when I received my first paint-by-number set, I have endeavored to expand my talents. I have taken art lessons, read self-help books, questioned and observed the talents of others, and practiced, practiced. I have worked with ceramics, wood crafts, needlepoint, counted cross-stitch, decorative acrylic painting and oil painting.

A native of New Orleans, some years ago I moved to Covington, Louisiana, a wonderful community on the northshore of Lake Pontchartrain. I devote most of my time to oil and acrylic painting of landscapes and wildlife. I am willing to experiment with different styles and techniques; however, I prefer painting in a realistic style. I especially enjoy painting animal portraits. I like the challenge of capturing the personality and attitude of my subjects. My art work is exhibited and sold at local art galleries and art shows. I also accept commissions for pet portraits.

My husband, Rick, and I have always been interested in arts and crafts. For many years we crafted wood art together. These days, we are working together designing websites and when I am painting, Rick is busy crafting wire jewelry and rosaries.
